About Us
My name is Eason. Before I became a father, I was an audio engineer. My days were spent in recording studios, perfectly blending dozens of instruments to ensure the audience heard a seamless symphony.
But during the first month after my daughter, Takoo, was born, I faced the biggest challenge of my career: putting her to sleep.
Like all new parents, I bought a best-selling white noise machine. One night, to cover the sound of a passing car outside, I had to turn the volume up. The machine pumped out a monotonous, mechanical "hiss"—like a heavy wall of sound pressing down on the nursery.
Watching my daughter sleep with a slight frown, my professional instincts kicked in. I felt uneasy. I took out my decibel meter, and the number on the screen shocked me. To mask the environmental noise, I was generating another kind of noise that could potentially damage her hearing.
I knew that an infant’s cochlea is incredibly delicate. This brute-force method of "fighting noise with noise" was putting her auditory health at risk.
I tried turning it down, but it lost its soothing effect. I tried changing the track, but every preset sound had certain sharp frequencies that even I found irritating.
In that moment, I realized: Traditional white noise machines are built to mask noise, not designed for sleep.
True sounds in nature are layered—the wind through the leaves is a gentle background, raindrops on the roof provide a crisp rhythm, and distant ocean waves offer a deep, low-end foundation. These sounds are meant to be separated and recomposed, not flattened into a single track.
So, I took that old machine apart. I decided to build a special gift for my daughter.
Using the principles of a professional mixing console, I designed what is now the Takoo 3-in-1 Sleep Sound Machine. It doesn't play static, dead recordings. Instead, it deconstructs the sounds of nature—soothing white noise, soft pink noise, and deep brown noise—into separate, living layers.
With Takoo, you become the conductor: You can gently slide up the fader for "Rain" to build a sense of security; Lower the volume of the "Wind" just enough to remove any harsh high frequencies; And blend in a subtle hint of "Heartbeat" to mimic the safety of the womb.
You have the power to independently adjust the volume of each sound and mix them to perfection. This means you don't need to blast the master volume to get the job done. By balancing the proportions of different sounds, you create a rich, masking soundscape that is effective, soothing, and, most importantly, safe for little ears.
Now, Takoo is more than just my daughter's name. It represents a promise: Sleep should never be a compromise. It should be a private concert, tailored just for you.
In this noisy world, we don’t just make noise. We curate serenity.
